My rating: 6.5/10

Will I watch it again?  No.

I'm not quite certain why I had this to begin with but I watched it and I actually like it.  It's funny.  I've never dug Cook's stand-up but he does a good job acting in this.  The supporting cast is goo, too.  The laughs and everything were going along just fine until the last act when everything got all serious for a few minutes when Zack's (Cook) shit hit the fan and he lost his friends and his girlfriend.  It's forced and unnecessary.  It's presented in a way that could almost be construed as a joke because it's so damn serious and heavy.  You don't have to have this kind of conflict.  You can still have a little of it while keeping it light and not so friggin' serious.  We're not watching movies like this to get inspired to improve our own lives.  Save that for the Holocaust dramas or something.  Geez.  Once it picks up after that it's back to business as usual but with more focus from Zack to win the day.  I would've easily given this a higher rating if it weren't for that dip into Whatthefuck'sville.
