My rating: 7/10

Will I watch it again?  Maybe in another thirty years I'll be ready for another go at it.

I loves me some Woody Allen and it's been over thirty years since I last saw this.  Even though it's not as consistently funny as it should and needs to be, there are A LOT of great gags.  The banana peel shit slays me.  Like most Woody films, if you don't like him you're not going to like this. The acting, as per usual in his pictures, is solid and the comedy chops on these kids is top notch.  Man, there's some funny shit in this picture.  It's too bad that there are several spots that run long without even a smirk but it's not without trying.  The ending is rather abrupt.  It's not the classic knee-slapper I remember but then I was a teenager with all the world before me.  Now all of my dreams and aspirations have long since died and I'm ready for a nap.  The MGM DVD presents the film in a nice anamorphic widescreen print.  The only extra is a fullscreen theatrical trailer.  That's par for the course for Woody's films on DVD.
