Gunman in the Streets (1950)

Director: Frank Tuttle

Starring: Dane Clark, Simone Signoret, Fernand Gravey, Robert Duke, Michel Andre, Fernand Rauzena, Pierre Gay, Edmond Ardisson, Albert Dinan

Plot: An escaped gangster, Eddy (Clark), struggles to flee Paris as the police dragnet closes around him, with his former lover, Denise (Signoret), caught in the crossfire.

My rating: 7/10

Will I watch it again? No.

Good flick.  This forgotten film noir stands out for being filmed in Paris, France where most from that time were filmed in the US and the location shooting adds a lot to the production value.  The performances are good and it's pretty gritty.  Eddy doesn't mess around and he's going to get what he wants no matter what kind of resistance he comes up against.  The ending was nice, too.  I like who dies and how they get it.
