My rating: 6.5/10

Will I watch it again? Nah.

Not a bad picture. The performances are good.  Even though the serial killer isn't portrayed as over the top as they often are, this one's not perfect but I like the killer's motive.  It's different for a change.  But overall the film doesn't offer up anything very compelling or all that suspenseful.  It kind of felt like (and this is no insult to the film makers) that it was a glorified modern TV movie.  I guess maybe it was because of the lack of violence and gore (although there is one great scene).

It's probably unfair to say that but there was this underlying vibe I was getting.  It turns out that director Willing has done mostly TV (series, movies and mini-series).  If you're tired of the usual serial killer fare then this might be just for you. It maintains a sense of gloomy while remaining low key.
