Plot: When the free-spirited Sadie Thompson arrives in American Samoa, temperatures rise especially among the Marines stationed there and Sgt. Phil O'Hara in particular. What was supposed to be a 2 hour stopover turns into a week's stay due to their ship being quarantined, problems begin. Alfred Davidson, full of religion and self-righteousness doesn't approve of Sadie. When he remembers that he'd see her in Honolulu's notorious Emerald Club during a police raid he'd organized, he wants her deported. His own lustful desires surface however and tragedy ensues.

My rating: 6/10

Will I watch it again? Nope.

#15 on Project: Badass Charles Bronson

BRONSON'S AGE: 32
LEVEL OF BADASSICITY (10 being the highest): 6 (He's eager to take the dame and kick anyone's ass who comes near her but he's a Marine, and a sergeant (backed by the entire U.S. Marine Corps) keeps him down.  It's only Bronson's sense of duty and respect for his country that he postpones the slaying and the taking of women.)

Man, that Rita Hayworth is one noisy broad.  Shit she's loud and obnoxious.  I've never seen her like this.  The movie's OK and there are a few musical big band numbers that pass the time.  Ferrer plays a real bastard of a preacher man.  I was in disbelief when he worked his magic on Hayworth, trying to get her to come to Jesus and do the right thing.  Then of course he's got to be even more of a dick.  I love watching older movies like this where there's some real salacious stuff buried between the lines.  Sometimes I feel like a sleaze archaeologist, uncovering the hidden meanings of dialogue.   Then there's Charles Bronson.

Fuck you, Daniel Craig!  What a badass.  This is a shot of Bronson emerging out of the ocean after killing all of the sharks in the area BY HAND!!!  OK, he didn't kill ALL of them.  He had to leave one alive to be able to go to the other sharks and warn them to stay the fuck out.  What a guy.

He's got a few lines in this one AND it's in color.  The film was originally released in 3D.  Unfortunately I don't have that version.  If I did, every gal in a twenty block radius would have been at my house grinding on anything remotely erect.  HOLY SHIT!  What am I thinking?  Where the hell can I get a 3D copy of this movie?  My loins depend on it!
