My rating: 6/10

Will I watch it again? Sure.

This flick gets a lot of shit and if it weren't for the casting of Bruce Campbell I'd say it might be deserved.  True, it's a low budget, made-for-TV B-movie but it doesn't aspire to be anything else but that.  They knew what they were making.  Bruce Campbell is hilarious and I'm glad he's in it all the way from start to finish.  The special effects are low budget but they're perfectly fine and acceptable for what this picture can deliver.  If you haven't guessed by now, I thought it was kind of fun.  Anyone but Bruce would have made this one forgettable but he delivers 'The Chin' goods and it's alright by me.  The DVD has a commentary with Bruce and the director, Josh Becker.  I only listened to a few minutes but it was very informative and entertaining.  If you want to make your own movie, it's the kind of commentary that you'll get some good pointers from.  Someday I'll get around to listening to the entire track and then the EVIL DEAD commentaries and pick up a camera.  Don't let the low ratings or bad press steer you away from this one.  If you love Bruce, you'll enjoy yourself.
