I, a Woman (1965)

Director: Mac Ahlberg

Starring: Essy Persson, Preben Mahrt, Jorgen Reenberg, Tove Maes, Erik Hell

More info: IMDb

Tagline: From Sweden... A totally new concept in artistic motion pictures for adults!

Plot: Siv (Persson) is a young woman who works as a nurse. After breaking up with her unexciting fiancée and parting ways with her strict parents, Siv discovers her inexhaustible sexual appetite, and she begins pursuing encounters with her patients, colleagues, and the men she meets in her spare time. However, Siv discovers that many of her one night stands are actually looking for a deeper and more lasting relationship, while she prefers to simply live for the moment.

My rating: 3/10

Will I watch it again? What's Danish for 'no'?

#20 on 42nd Street Forever Vol. 2: The Deuce (part of the TRAILER TRASH PROJECT)

Dramas can be the pits when they're slow and boring. Gee whiz. The only thing of interest (at least to me) is the beautiful Essy Persson. She's in various stages of undress throughout most of the picture. Hubba Hubba. Other than that, she's just moving from one experience to another. It's not in an exploitative fashion but more of a soap opera-ish, dramatic one. There's really not much to it. Because it's Danish and not a low budget sleazy picture it lacks the 'fun' you would likely get from a grindhouse type of flick. A while back I had this crazy idea to watch every cheesy movie off of the many trailer compilations I have. Sometimes, with movies like this, it's a real chore.
