Will I watch it again? Yes!

#32 on Hammer Horror (1957-1976)

NICE!!! The performances are very strong. Michael Ripper is a beast of a character actor. The more I see of his work the more impressed I am. He's wonderful in this as Longbarrow, the weak servant of sorts to asshole extraordinaire, Stanley Preston. Preston is the kind of self-preserving, denigrating, condescending asshole that you want to die from line one and hope that he's going to suffer. John Phillips was almost too good, so good that you'd want to deck him if you saw him in real life because it'd be hard to separate him from his role. THAT good. Everyone else is great, too, but these two performances are top notch.

Poor Longfellow.

This piece of shit, cock-suckin' sum bitch needs to die a horrible death!

The Mummy kills are fantastic. The certain someone who gets tossed out the window was a HOLY SHIT moment. They dropped the ball though when it came to the asshole's death. (Sorry about the spoilers but you just know he's going to have to die.) It's weak. Especially when considering how much he deserves it. I'd probably given this an 8.5 if he'd been killed with more imagination and suffering. Good score by Don Banks. Overall it's a good Hammer Mummy picture. If you like solid performances, which is what you usually get with Hammer, then don't let this Mummy go.
