Plot: A Jewish girl, Hannah Meyer (Sirpa Lane) and an Aryan, Klaus Berger (Roberto Posse),, both German, are in love in pre-war times. WWII breaks out, he is sent to fight for the Nazi flag and she is arrested and sent to serve as a prostitute in camp 27 where disobedience is punishable only by death! My rating: 4/10

Will I watch it again? Oh, fuck no.

#62 on Dusk to Dawn Drive-In Trash-o-Rama Show Vol. 1 (part of the TRAILER TRASH PROJECT)

"I'm gonna live forever...I'm gonna learn how to fry!"

NAZI LOVE CAMP 27 brings only one thing to the Nazisploitation table we haven't seen yet and that's revenge. After Hannah is forced into Nazi prostitution she shows her stubbornness to follow orders and is sentenced to death. Her sass catches the eye of Captain Kurt von Stein who takes her as his lover. She eventually goes along with it and plays his game in order to survive. He showers her with gifts and treats her like a lady. Naturally he has to keep this on the down low because she's a Jew so he arranges for her to get a new identity.

Again with the undressing?

When his superior officer asks for his expertise and putting together a top notch brothel (Stein's done this before), Cpt. Stein enlists his own lover as one of the main attractions. One day Klaus shows up at the brothel during an evening gala where they share a brief exchange of words - he wanting to work it out and she knowing it could never be. Devastated, Klaus leaves, Hannah shoots her lover, Kurt, goes downstairs to the party of high ranking Nazis and whores, shoots the officer who happens to be the one who ordered her mother murdered, her father to die in a concentration camp and sent her to the prostitution camp. A few of the officers reply with a few fatal shots of their own killing Hannah. End of movie.

NaziCise!
I'm surprised this didn't make a huge comeback in the 80s.

So, it turns out that, in a way, this was a revenge picture. That's a first (so far) for this genre and it's about the only interesting thing about this flick. There was a brutal rape her first night in Camp 27 which was handled rather well (as far as movie rapes go, it was more difficult to watch than others). I enjoyed Francesco De Masi's score which was better than most. Outside of that, there's not much else to dig. The story was pieced together poorly with segments rather than flowing naturally like the out of the blue "let's put together a lovely brothel" for the sole purpose of having something to do for the last 15-20 minutes. Stuff like that. The film shifts gears several times without any reason except to keep moving. I found myself nodding off too frequently and I just didn't care. The trailer is the best part. I only wish it were online so everyone could enjoy it. It really is a well-made piece of exploitation goodness.

I've all but given up hope on this genre. So what's next? RED NIGHTS OF THE GESTAPO (1977). That sounds like good, clean fun.
