Switchblade Sisters (1975)

Director: Jack Hill

Starring: Robbie Lee, Joanne Nail, Monica Gayle, Asher Brauner, Chase Newhart, Marlene Clark, Kitty Bruce, Janice Karman, Don Stark

More info: IMDb

Tagline: Lace... Maggie... Patch... Donut... Bunny... The wildest girl gang that ever blasted the streets!

Plot: The "Dagger Debs" are a gang of snarling girls, and Maggie is their newest member. Lace, the ever tooth-gritting leader, befriends her but soon has doubts --it seems Lace's man, Dominic, head of the "Silver Daggers" fancies the new recruit. Lace struggles to keep control of the Debs, and a handle on Nick, as they face off against the rival gang of pushers lead by a dude named Crabs.

My rating: 7/10

Will I watch it again? Oh, yeah!

#39 on Dusk to Dawn Drive-In Trash-o-Rama Show Vol. 1 (part of the TRAILER TRASH PROJECT)

This movie is a hoot. Is it as fun as the trailer suggest? Almost and close enough to slap it on the next time the gang's over for a party. The dialogue is priceless!

"If you go, it's gonna turn out...baaaaad!"

That's Lace (Lee). I've never seen anyone deliver more lines between the teeth. She grits more than Sunday mornings at Waffle House! SS is a decently paced movie with lots of action, fighting, law-breaking, back stabbing, boob flashing, teen angst and a whole lot more. It's a blast to watch and a guaranteed fun night at the movies. Man, I miss the 70s. I would have loved to have been of age to hit shit like this at the drive-ins.
