My rating: 7/10

Will I watch it again? Chyeah!

#210 on Drive-In Delirium Volume 2 (part of the TRAILER TRASH PROJECT)

Color me crazy but this movie is fun. Just think of those 50s monster classics like CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON (1954) but with plenty of violence, gore and world class nudity! If that doesn't say, "put the kids to bed and let's pop some corn", I don't know what does.

Before re-visiting it again for the first time in nearly 30 years, all I had were hazy mammaries, I mean memories, of bits of this from sneaking into the living room late at night to catch this on HBO when I was probably 12. Oh boy was this a special movie. Monsters and boobs. For a kid, you couldn't ask for more. 28 or so years later, seeing it through adult eyes, it's a special movie loaded with monsters and boobs. I still can't ask for more.

Five bucks says his face gets mauled and she get topless...

Pay up.

But seriously, it's actually really fun. The performances are way too dramatic to take it seriously...

Hi! I'm Dough McClure...

the creatures are obviously people in flimsy, rubber suits...

there is LOTS of nudity...

and it's just under an hour and twenty minutes long.

The 10 minute creature attack on the shoreline fair is fantastic. Roger Corman, who produced it, knew what to do. He probably said there wasn't enough nudity so they had one of the creatures, while attacking a beauty queen, grab her top and rip it off. Fucking classic.

This movie makes no bones about what it is and that is great exploitation delivering what you want and not overstaying its welcome. There will always be a place in my heart for HUMANOIDS FROM THE DEEP, a love affair that began nearly thirty years ago. HUMANOIDS FROM THE DEEP...you complete me!
